S1:E5

Wow, oh, wow... this episode was a good one. Nothing particularly intense until the last 10 minutes, but I really enjoyed it.

I was very sad for Andrea still, having lost Amy. I really didn't like that she pulled a gun on Rick when he was going to attempt to reason with her. Seeing Amy awaken as a Walker, and then Andrea's apologies before killing her was unexpected.

I think the fellow's name is Morales, the guy who decided to leave with his family. I liked his character, so hearing that he was departing for Birmingham was bogus. I had thought that Jim, bitten in the previous attack, was going to turn and be an issue. At least he was left on his own with his dignity, to die where he wanted to be.

The CDC and the doctor... now this seems like a bucket of crazy just waiting to be spilled. I was pretty anxious when Rick was yelling at the door, and pleased and surprised that the doctor opened up.

Lastly, I want to bring up Shane. He is one conflicted individual... seeing him bring his weapon up on Rick as Rick was looking for the source of a noise in the forest was intense. I'm glad to see that Dale knows what's going on in Shane's head, even with Shane trying to play it off. He better get his head screwed on the right way, or he will become a danger to himself and the rest of the group.
